I use notepad++ for EVERYTHING. It's epic win. Oh, if you don't know the API...I use Netbeans for Java (easy GUI builder) and Visual Studio for the rest.

Eclipse has so many neat little features that I don't know half of them. It's become so slow to start up since Ganymede though, so I'm still using Europa.
